The Braves ended 2004 proving that they
had come a long way in a very short time. In just the third
tounament in the 9-under Braves history, the team finished
in second place at the AAU East Coast Clash of Champions.
The Braves opened the East Coast Clash
of Champions, played at Carolina Forest High School, with
a 16-6 victory over Johnson's Old Railroad Express. After
falling 8-2 to the Wilmington (NC) Cardinals, the Braves moved
into the Championship game with an 8-5 victory over the Coastal
Sting. The Wilmington Cardinals claimed the title with a 12-2
win over the Braves.
Despite the loss, the tournament proved
that this group of young men haqs come a long way in a very
short period of time. The Braves 2005 season will kick off
in Chapin, South Carolina on April 1 at the USSSA Qualifier
"Fools Ball."
